Training Offered by the East of England RDSU, Hertfordshire

The East of England RDSU, Hertfordshire research training programme for 2007 consists of 11 courses. The courses will take place on either Mondays or Tuesdays with all sessions being held at the University of Hertfordshire. The aims of the courses are to increase knowledge of the research process and to further understanding of research methods and data analysis. All courses will take place on Mondays. Half day courses are free. However, full day courses have a modest fee that covers the cost of courses materials and catering.

While most of the sessions assume little or no previous knowledge of health-related research the ‘Introduction to SPSS’ and 'Introduction to Stata' assume some basic statistical knowledge. Furthermore, the Regression courses 1 and 2 assume the delegate is familiar with the SPSS data analysis package.

The East of England RDSU is funded by the Department Of Health to provide research support and training to NHS employees in the East of England. Priority is given to these individuals; any remaining places are available for NHS employees from outside of this region, University of Hertfordshire staff or individuals working in health care related social services or charities.

To book a place on one of the sessions please send an email to stating the session you wish to attend along with your full name, job title, the organisation you work for and contact information. If you are unable to attend one of the sessions you have previously booked a place on please let us know in advance.
